We aim to provide a positive, well-ordered learning environment, where all children are valued as individuals and where all successes are celebrated.
Understanding and respect for others is integral to our pastoral care. Independence is the key and expectations are high. We encourage the children to become independent and confident, increasing responsibilities as they move through the school.
JUNIOR SCHOOL - Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage) - Years 1 and 2 (Key Stage 1)
The curriculum is broad, with an emphasis placed on establishing a firm foundation in Literacy, Numeracy, Science and Computing. Extra-curricular activities are provided to enrich and extend the children’s learning.
Careful planning of the curriculum and continuous assessment and reporting ensure progression and continuity.
SENIOR SCHOOL - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2)
Building on what has been achieved in the Junior School, every pupil’s progress is maximised by the highest quality of planning, teaching and assessment. Literacy, Numeracy, Science and Computing are core subjects, taught alongside History, Geography, French, Religious Studies and Latin (Years 5 and 6). These are complemented by Art and Design, Music, Physical Education and Games each week.
